Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 20, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of thomasedisonelectric.com (the "Site") and to the electrical services provided by Thomas Edison Electric ("Thomas Edison Electric," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, requesting an estimate, or scheduling service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

Thomas Edison Electric is a licensed and insured residential electrical services company serving Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

  • Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor Registration: PA075449
  • New Jersey Electrical Contractor Bus. Permit #: 34EB01791600

Registration by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office does not imply endorsement or approval.

2. Services and service area

We provide electrical services for homes and businesses across our service areas in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The services offered can vary by location; see Areas We Serve or call 800-380-6800 to confirm what we offer at your address. We may decline work that falls outside our scope of services, licensing, or service area.

3. Scheduling

We answer around the clock. Appointment windows are estimates: arrival times may be affected by earlier jobs, emergency calls, weather, or parts availability, and we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed of changes. For scheduling questions, call 800-380-6800.

4. Estimates and pricing

  • We do not quote prices over the phone. Accurate pricing for electrical work requires a licensed electrician to evaluate the job on site. Any figures discussed before an onsite evaluation are general information only and are not an offer, quote, or binding price.
  • Written approval before work. Pricing for the described scope of work is presented to you for approval before that work proceeds. Work outside the approved scope requires your further approval.
  • Estimates are valid for the period stated on the estimate and assume conditions observed at the time of evaluation. Concealed conditions discovered during work may require a revised estimate.

5. Your right to cancel

Pennsylvania customers. Under Pennsylvania's Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, you may cancel a home improvement contract within three (3) business days of signing, without penalty or obligation. You may cancel by any method that gives us actual notice, including by telephone, in writing, or in person. Call 800-380-6800 or write to us at the address in Section 14.

New Jersey customers. Under New Jersey law, you may cancel a home improvement contract within three (3) business days of signing, without penalty or obligation, by notifying us in writing at the address in Section 14.

If you cancel within the applicable period, any payments made will be returned to you in accordance with applicable law.

6. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements are agreed in writing. We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, and checks.

Financing may be available for qualifying work. Financing is provided by third-party lenders, subject to their approval, terms, and credit criteria. Thomas Edison Electric is not the lender and does not control financing decisions.

7. One-year parts and labor warranty

We warrant our workmanship and the parts we supply for one (1) year from the date of completion. If a defect in our workmanship, or in a part we supplied, appears within that period, we will repair or replace it at no charge.

This warranty covers parts supplied by Thomas Edison Electric; customer-supplied parts and equipment are not covered by this warranty (manufacturer warranties, where applicable, are passed through to you). This warranty does not cover: damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, or alteration by anyone other than Thomas Edison Electric; pre-existing conditions or components outside the scope of the work we performed; damage from power surges, lightning, flood, fire, pests, or other events beyond our control; or normal wear.

To make a warranty claim, contact us at 800-380-6800.

8. Coupons, discounts, and promotional offers

  • Offers apply only to qualifying work as described in the specific offer.
  • Offers are valid only through the expiration date shown and only within our service areas.
  • Discounts are applied to the final approved invoice for qualifying work.
  • Coupons and offers may be combined only where the coupon or offer itself states that combining is permitted; each coupon's own stated terms govern.
  • Offers have no cash value and cannot be applied retroactively to completed work.
  • We may modify or discontinue any offer at any time; offers already presented and honored on an approved estimate will be honored.
